My professional career spans over 27 years in the banking sector as well as Information Technology Industry. I have mostly been involved in public administration working for the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications. I am currently working for the Royal Science and Technology part as National Data Center Head managing a staff of 120 people. As the head of the National Data Center I have been able to setup a data centre with 66 Racks to provide cloud computing for both the public and private sector. I have been able to lead a team to implement this national project with a budget of over E500 million and ensuring that it is operating. I have setup the governance structure and business processes of the national data centre ensuring that all personnel are aligned to their roles and responsibilities. The position of National Data Center Head is versed in monitoring, evaluating and maintaining computer systems and networks. I bring to industry excellent communication and problem-solving skills illustrated over 20-year industry career of hard-working with strong organizational skills. I believe in achieving company goals through exceptional planning and prioritization.
On a technical level, I have accomplished various projects while working for the Eswatini Government. These includes the development of an encryption tool for Electronic Funds Transfer for Swaziland Government Treasury to strengthened the security of the Government financial processes. This solution uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) tool to encrypt files sent to the Central bank for payments of suppliers. This ensures that the file is not tempered while on transit to the bank. Link encryption is used on the client side where the encryption is started on layer 3 and sent to the bank
I have been working on the mainframe environment for the Eswatini Government for more than 20years and in the process I developed an integration tool for Swaziland Government mainframe system (ADABAS) and AFIS oracle platforms. This is a java tool that manipulates an oracle environment and create an XML file with the data to be sent through to the mainframe ADABAS database. A schedule job is scheduled to run at regular intervals to fetch the data from the Oracle DB and the XML elements are extracted and sent to the mainframe.
I further successfully led a project team that installed Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) enhancements that enabled the AFIS users to utilize electronic enrolment of fingerprints. The project was challenging as it touched on the integrity of the AFIS solution which is a specialized fingerprint identification used by Police and Home Affairs and the team had to ensure that the enhancements passed all tests (unit, integration and regression) without error. This project had no room for error and its successful implementation ensured that that Swaziland Government realized significant returns within a shorter period.
