I was selected under the UNDP/ EYEP( Eswatini Youth Empowerment Program) cohort program to intern at Biolab Eswatini which is a leading provider of diagnostic services for a period of six months. At Biolab I gained experience in:

• Performing various tests such as DNA sequencing, chemistry analysis, immunochemistry, hematology and point of care tests
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop new procedures and protocols.
• Recording and interpreting laboratory results to present to senior colleagues.
• Investigating and resolving issues related to laboratory processes and procedures.

• Educated students of different ages (5-16) the basics of English grammar and conversational speaking.

Worked as a teaching assistant for a Master Bio- medical journal reading and discussion course for one year. Achievements and tasks were:

• Tutored students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supported classroom activities, tutoring, and reviewing work.
• Assisted teachers with classroom management and document coordination to maintain positive learning environment.

As an intern I engaged in an additional training in Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, there I gained experience with working with actual samples. Key competence and skills include the listed below;

• Perform and analyze results of complex scientific tests on blood and body fluids
• Analyzed results using analytical software and created reports.
• Gathered laboratory samples, monitored fluids and read test results to make accurate care decisions.
• Developed and implemented standard operating procedures to verify quality control.
