Global Youth Project Coordinator

  • Lead the implementation of the Global Youth Project (GYP) as follows;
  • Oversee all the duties assigned by the NCFE Board pursuant to youth related Programs supported by the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Confederation (DGRV)
  • Responsible for planning, implementation, compliance, and accounting for related conditional and non-conditional funds not limited to DGRV global youth funds
  • Plan, coordinate, and organize youth related Programs day-to-day accounting procedures including the maintaining of financial recordings for all transactions, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and reimbursements, using both Excel and Pastel
  • Support the Finance and Administration Coordinator (FAC) for GYP accounts and banking processes, payments, and overall treasury
  • Ensuring that sound internal financial policies, procedures applicable controls are in place, known and adhered to
  • The annual budgeting process, prepare expenditure and income reports, and advise on deviations and re-allocation
  • Will be the head of procurement and the last authority before donor approval
  • Ensuring maintenance of appropriate Program documentation, filing and reporting for internal use, donor inspection and other requirements
  • Identifying and addressing Program discrepancies, ensuring that NCFE always remains compliant project guidelines and donor requirements, ensuring project indicators and deliverables are met
  • Focal person representing Eswatini within the 3-countries whereby the Program is being piloted (Eswatini, Colombia and Laos PDR)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the board and the donor

  • Together with the Programs Manager and Team, achieve the following;
  • Provide programmatic support for Sexual and Reproductive Health Education, Training and Skills Development, Environment Sustainability in Youth Development at Tinkhundla and Community Levels responsible for the Hhohho, Lubombo and Manzini regions
  • This was achieved through the Life Skills Education (LSE) Program which was supported by UNFPA
  • Participation, Partnership and Leadership Inclusion and Training in the Youth Sector
  • Conduct capacity building initiatives on Participation, Partnership and Leadership for youth at community level
  • Participate in the development and implementation of all other ENYC programs
  • Regional and International youth-focus meetings participation, including the Youth Connect Summit held annually in the region
  • Facilitate youth programs development and design, execution and M&E, ensuring Programs meet their intended indicators
  • This was especially well executed in the development of the Insika Yensha Youth Program which was supported by the Republic of China on Taiwan
  • I was also the entrepreneurship focal person within the Council, focusing on assisting youth in business plan development and making sure young people are well presented in the correct forums on youth development
  • Representing the Council in different developmental forums in sub-Saharan Africa and internationally, representing the unique view of young people from the Kingdom of Eswatini

  • Representing Eswatini in the Africa Regional JA Expo, whereby over 15-countries take part

Accomplishments

  • Project Lead for the 2020 inaugural Youth Cooperatives Indaba in Eswatini; responsible for conceptualization and overseeing the execution of the close to 100-delegates learnership activity for youth cooperatives in Eswatini.
  • Lead of the International Youth Day 2019, 2020 & 2021 task team responsible for the commemoration activity execution; which was achieved for the first time in succession since 2012.
  • Project Lead and Coordinator when Swaziland/Eswatini won the JA Africa Regional Competition in 2015 in Libreville, Gabon; and Project Lead and Coordinator when it was achieved again in 2016 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
  • Project Lead and Coordinator when Eswatini hosted the JA Africa Regional Competition at eZulwini in 2013.
